My Favorite Photographs – Post Two | Blacksburg Wedding Photographer

Welcome back! This is part two of my series on my favorite photographs I have taken over the years. I am so lucky to have become a photographer and I am even luckier to have had the great fortune of working with so many awesome people. Here are a few more of my favorite photographs and why I love them so much!

The first photograph today is from Maureen and Brad’s wedding at Claytor Lake in 2014 (see that post here. While it has been a few years since this day, they continue to be a favorite couple of mine! I even just had the pleasure of photographing Maureen while she was pregnant and then again when little Keegan arrived! You can see those posts here: maternity session and . I loved this photograph of them in the tall trees. It just had a great feel to what was an awesome day. Don’t you agree?

The next photograph I want to share today is of Abby’s High School Senior Session (see the full post here). Abby is the youngest of three sisters and I had the distinct pleasure of photographing each of them as high school seniors. It is always great working with the Williams’ family and Abby is certainly no exception! During her session the sun came down in the perfect way that made her just glow. It was one of those moments as a photographer where you think “yes yes yes!” and get all excited! I know I must seem a little nutty, but I get seriously excited about good light! It certainly doesn’t hurt to have such a gorgeous young woman in front of the lens to accompany it! What do you think?

The next two photographs are from the same wedding. Rachel and Leland’s wedding was one of the most fun weddings I have ever attended. The entire wedding party was AWESOME to work with. I will be sharing many over this series, but the two today involve mainly Leland. (you can see the full wedding post here). Leland and the groomsmen took one of my most favorite photographs of the guys. I loved how much fun they were in front of the camera. Don’t you love this too?

Later in the night the party was in high gear and this reception was hopping! What a great crowd full of amazing dancing! Near the end the groomsmen picked Leland up and..well… you can see! How awesome!

The next photograph I want to share in this post is of Nish during his High School Senior Session. Nish was a lot of fun to work with and such a sweet guy. I loved his willingness to go with my ideas as well as bring some of his own. I just loved how this photo turned out with his blue shirt and that awesome graffiti. What do you think? (you can see his full session here)

The last post today is of Annah’s High School Senior Session. Annah graduated in 2015 and I had a great time getting to know her throughout her session. While there were many awesome photographs from her session (see it here), this one was one of my favorites. I used a Lensbaby lens for the distortion which added to the softness of this image. I also loved how she was looking down and just seemed very casual as if I actually caught her just being herself. I got the feeling that this was the real “Annah” and that made me love this photograph even more! She is an awesome young woman after all!
