These two are the sweetest!
I had a great time when I first met Sarah and Connor during their wedding consultation. I love it when a couple is so comfortable together and with new people. I am a people person so meeting cool people like Sarah and Connor just make my day! I was even more excited when they chose to hire me as their wedding photographer! Woohoo!!!
We met on a beautiful Friday afternoon for their session at the Virginia Tech Duckpond. It is such a wonderful place to have a session. The light is magnificent and the trees make me smile! We walked around and I got to know these two and their story a little better. I am now even more excited for their wedding day!
Sarah told me the story of how she and Connor met. In Fall of 2015, Connor was stationed on a marine corps base in Okinawa, Japan, while Sarah was in the midst of grad school in Blacksburg. Luck was on their side and Connor stumbled across Sarah’s profile on an online dating site. After a few months of talking, Connor was transferred to a base in Beaufort, SC and on New Years Eve (2015) drove up to Blacksburg so they could have their first official date. Too sweet!
It wasn’t too terribly long later when Connor decided to pop the question! On April 1, 2016, Connor proposed on the top of Bald Knob (near Mountain Lake). This is where they had their first kiss!

Sarah and Conner love to enjoy the outdoors – especially campfires in the fall, the ocean in the summer, and hiking year round. They love to spend time together and enjoy life as it was meant to be! Shared!
I asked Sarah and Connor what they are most excited about as an engaged couple. They said, “we just can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together!” Ahhhh!!
Sarah told me the most awesome thing about Connor is, “Connor is extraordinarily selfless and is always willing to go above and beyond for me and our relationship. For example, he has driven 6 hours each way to Blacksburg, twice a month, for almost 2 years, so that we can spend as much time together as possible!” Sweetest.Guy.Ever
Connor told me the most awesome thing about Sarah is, “Sarah is the most dedicated person when it comes to life, her work, and most importantly our relationship. Even though distance has separated us for nearly the last 2 years she has successfully managed a demanding work/school load while always dedicating time to talk to me and foster our relationship. Without her patience, our relationship would not have thrived as much as it has in light of the long distance.” Oh dear me… are they not perfect together??
