Amber | A Christiansburg High School Senior Session
Today I want you to meet Amber. I asked Amber to describe herself and she chose these three words: caring, stubborn, and adventurous.
Amber is a senior at Christiansburg High School. She is very involved with the Chamber Ensemble at CHS. She loves participating in spring musicals! She is also very involved with The Bridge Foursquare Church’s Worship Team. In addition to all of this, Amber is also very interested in photography. As someone who has followed her on Facebook for a few years, I can tell you she is pretty talented!
I know I just mentioned that I have known Amber for a few years and that is because I was actually her teacher when she was in 8th grade! I cannot believe how time has flown. Amber has grown into a beautiful, charming, sweet, and interesting young woman. I know she described herself as stubborn, but that was a word I have never associated with her! I was so honored that she asked me to photograph her at this important time in her life.
We met at Nesselrod on the New in Radford. It is one of the prettiest locations in the New River Valley! Amber and I walked around catching up and I got to hear all about her life now that she is a young adult. While she said she was a little nervous about the “posing” she did great! She was just perfect and a real natural to work with!
Here is one of my favorites from the shoot. I LOVED how she lights up when she laughs!
I loved the outfits that Amber brought to the shoot. For example, the first pink romper/dress was super cool. It had lace that just looked so feminine. Loved it! She also brought a casual shirt/shorts and a jean for sitting down in the grass and dirty benches. Perfect!
I asked Amber whether she had any advice to offer others who were getting ready to take senior pictures. This is what she had to share: “Have all your outfits planned with your accessories, and try it all on before your session!” I agree!
After high school, Amber is still deciding whether or not she would like to go into counseling or nursing. “I really want to help people in some way. I will probably go to Ignite- Life Pacific College on the Crosspointe Campus in Christiansburg, VA to finish my associates and depending on my major, will go to either Radford or Liberty,” Amber explained. Sounds like a pretty good plan!
Best of luck to Amber. I know you’ll be awesome! (I already think you are!)
