The Loda family!
I had a great time photographing the Loda family at the always beautiful Hahn Gardens. Virginia Tech has some of the best spots! The day was perfect and we had a great time walking around.
Justin and Emily (mom & dad) have quite a busy life with their two kids. Jackson and Summerlin are both in high school and each play multiple sports. They are always at a sporting event! It fits them perfectly because Justin and Emily are both athletes in their own rights. This is an active bunch!
Emily describes her family as “active, connected, and supportive.” That was so clear as we spent the evening together taking photos. They clearly enjoy one another, which is always so awesome to see!
When the Lodas aren’t at a sporting event they enjoy spending time outdoors. Hiking is one of their favorite pastimes. They love going to the beach and working on home projects together. Cooking is also something they enjoy together!
I asked Emily to tell me a little about each member of her family. She shared that Justin “is highly analytical, but has a huge heart and is always looking to be involved and help others.” I also enjoyed seeing how very much he loves his family. It is clear that they each make him so proud.
Jackson “is quiet, with the best sense of humor and whit.”
Summerlin is “wide open in all the best ways – full of laughter, joy, and adventure.”
Emily is clearly loved by her family and that is so wonderful to witness. She is so proud of them and such a great mother. She has raised two talented young people who are not only incredibly smart and athletic, but also kind. What a great job she did! Emily is one awesome momma!
