I had the pleasure of meeting Alicia recently at Radford University for her session. Alicia is graduating with her degree in business and this young woman is going places!!
Alicia describes herself with the words, “driven, unstoppable, and fierce.” Wow! Those are three strong words and they do suit her perfectly! Alicia has set her mind on her goals and she has accomplished them.
While attending Radford University, Alicia has made her mark. She is president of Beta Gamma Sigma. Alicia told me that this is the highest honor that college students majoring in business can receive! Wow! In 2017 she interned with Ogilvy & Mather in New York City and in 2016 she interned with BBDO. These are two of the world’s largest advertising agencies.
Alicia is also a Kirk Scholar and studied one year of Mandarin Chinese and participated in a study abroad program in China. She is a member of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity. Alicia is also a content creator for The Life Currency which is a website dedicated to helping millennials navigate throughout their 20’s. Two articles have even been posted to Essence Magazine’s official website!
Alicia’s favorite subjects to study are Mandarin Chinese, Global Marketing, and Brand Strategy. When she’s not working hard on school related tasks, she enjoys writing poetry and attending poetry slams. She also likes to catch up on reading in one of her “1,000 self help books!” She also enjoys shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
While she is super busy, she does find time to enjoy a little TV. Her favorite shoes are Empire, Star, and Insecure. Her favorite quote is “Let Go, Let God.” Now that Alicia is finished at Radford she has already mapped out the next chapter of her life. She will be moving to New York City to work with a globally recognized brand. This is her dream come true! To live in New York City and work in her dream field! Way to go Alicia!!!
