I adore this young lady!!!

Courtney has been a close family friend since she moved to Blacksburg. She and my son became very good friends when they were in third grade and have remained close ever since. As far back as I can remember, I have heard Courtney’s infectious laughter and it has made my heart smile. What an awesome young woman she is!!

“Positive, creative, and willing” are the words that Courtney uses to describe herself. She really also deserves, “loyal, fun, and hardworking” too! Actually, I could go on and on with awesome adjectives to describe this kid… can you tell I adore her??

Funny Girl

Courtney is involved in lots of activities but riding horses is her life passion. She told me that she’s been riding  horses for about 11 years and she competes in the SWVHJA Organization doing the hunter/jumpers and equitation. She is super dedicated to her riding and spends much of her time focusing on riding and her sweet horse, Funny Girl. Yes, “Funny Girl” is this sweet horse’s name!!! Don’t you just love that?

When she’s not riding, Courtney is also involved in the Future Farmer’s of America (FFA) club and has been an active member all four years of her high school career. Her favorite subjects in school are English and History. When she’s not studying or riding, Courtney loves listening to country music artists like Luke Bryan, Dan and Shay, and Thomas Rhett. Her favorite TV shows are Grey’s Anatomy, Friends, and Gossip Girl. As for movies, her two favorites are The Longest Ride or Secretariat.

Courtney is still deciding on a college but is hoping to attend a college that has a fantastic riding program. She is considering a major in equine studies, business, or even possibly sports psychology.
