Favorite Photographs – Post Seven | Blacksburg Wedding Photography

Hello again! This is the seventh post in my ongoing series of favorite photos of all time. I am sharing FIVE of my favorites with each post. I have been doing this for a long time now (almost 11 years..whaaaat???) so over that stretch of time I have accumulated some faves!

The first image in today’s post is from Olivia’s senior session in Roanoke. We had a great time walking around downtown Roanoke. That is one of my favorite places to shoot seniors. This was the first time I had learned of this graffiti alley, however. Olivia took me there and oh my! How cool is that wall? You can see her full session HERE

Olivia’s Roanoke session was so much fun. She knew of this awesome graffiti wall so we used it as a background. How absolutely awesome is this?

Sara and Matt’s Boxtree Lodge wedding was awesome! We had such a great time despite the rain. One thing that a rain storm can make great are the clouds and sky! Check out that backdrop on this beautiful bride!! How perfect is that?? Too cool! You can see their full wedding HERE

This shot of the gorgeous bride Sara at her wedding at Boxtree Lodge was definitely a favorite! The sky was just about to open up and being pouring on us but not before we captured this photo!

The next image I am going to share today is from Stephanie and Bryan’s beautiful wedding at Beliveau Estate Winery. This was an absolutely wonderful day with so many amazing details. Stephanie arranged for a couch to be used for her couple portraits. I was more than a little excited that she did! Check out how awesome this is!!

Stephanie and Bryan’s wedding was awesome and so beautiful! Stephanie’s attention to detail was amazing. She even arranged for this couch!

The next image is from a concept I was asked to shoot for a possible feature in a magazine. The idea was about strong girls and crossing boundaries. I came up with the idea of doing a girl in a football uniform looking tough but at the same time beautiful. I would say that Sky fit the bill, wouldn’t you?

I was asked to do a photo for a possible magazine article about strong girls and breaking boundaries. The concept of a girl playing football came together and Sky modeled for me. Love it!

The last one in today’s post is from Whitney and Rich’s wedding in 2016. This photo was taken was at the always awesome Nesselrod on the New. This is seriously one of my favorite places to shoot! Whitney and her girls got ready at the Bed and Breakfast and we did their portraits on the grounds before the ceremony. These girls were an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end. I am not surprised that they were so great because the bride, Whitney, is just about one of the most wonderful people you’d ever meet! Why wouldn’t she surround herself with awesome people?

This is one of my favorite photos of a bridal party. Could there be a more beautiful group of women? Can I just tell you they are not only beautiful but also all around awesome!

Thank you for checking out this post! Please be sure to check back in soon for even more!
