Jennifer + Eric | Blacksburg Engagement Photographer

Jennifer and Eric recently met me at Heritage Park in Blacksburg, Virginia for their engagement session. I had met with these two during their wedding consultation a while ago but this was the first time I had the opportunity to really get to know them. Can I just tell you… they.are.awesome!

These two are completely laid back and so easy going. Within minutes it was like we were old friends. I just love being able to get to know such great people! I know I have said this before, but I have the best job ever!

Jennifer and Eric met through Tinder. They told me that Jennifer joined and they immediately matched. Jennifer initiated the conversation because Eric’s profile picture was so intriguing. They messaged back and forth for several days. Eric suggested going on a hike together for a first date. Jennifer was worried he could be a murderer and insisted that they meet first for a drink (SMART!). They met for a drink and then went hiking the next day. The hike turned into dinner and then into a movie because they didn’t want it to end! What a perfect story! It was “love at first sight!”

They enjoy spending time together and prefer being outdoors. They love to go hiking, camping, and running.

I asked Jennifer to tell me how Eric proposed and she told me this story: “Eric proposed in May during our vacation to Acadia National Park. We hiked Hemlock Trail and got to a place where the river was too high to cross. As we stood there trying to figure out what to do next, he got down on one knee!” Ahhh!!! I love that!

Now that they are engaged they are looking forward to the celebration of their love and being able to share that with their friends and family. Oh.. and we cannot forget the honeymoon! They are both excited for that too!

Jennifer told me that “Eric is so grounded. He is a living example of how to enjoy each experience without reservation. I am so lucky to have his influence in my life.” Doesn’t that just melt your heart? Love it!

Eric described Jennifer as being “thoughtful and I most appreciate her emotional intelligence.” Sweetness :).

This engagement session was a blast from beginning to end and I cannot wait for their wedding in October! It is going to be a blast!
