“Determined, positive and outgoing” are the words Laura used to describe herself. What a fantastic set of words for a young woman! I wish we had more women just like Laura in the world!

Laura is a senior at Blacksburg High School. She is super sweet and very involved in school activities. Laura is an active member of the American Red Cross Club and in HOSA. She loves studying biology, medical terminology, health assisting careers, psychology, and sociology. Wow! That is quite a list of topics! She is one smart young woman!

When Laura isn’t focusing on her studies she loves to read, watch The Gilmore Girls or Grey’s Anatomy, and spend time with her mom and her friends. (Okay.. no lie… the “mom” part got me… I wish my teenager wanted to spend time with me! Ha!). Laura is considering majoring in biology, nursing, biomedicin, or biochemistry when she graduates. She is looking at Virginia Tech but the world is her oyster and she can go anywhere!
