What a beautiful day for a beautiful couple to start a beautiful life together!!!
The Preparations:
When we arrived I met Lauren and the girls at Hotel Roanoke. They were finishing up their hair and makeup and looked beautiful in their blue robes! Brandy with Brides by Brandy did their hair. How perfect they all looked! Lauren’s sister did the girls’ makeup!
Lauren found her dress at the Dress Shoppe in St. Paul, Minnesota. The dress is a Raffini design from Posh Bridal. She told me that when she found this dress and tried it on she instantly knew this was the one for her! Lauren’s mother made her lace jacket as an added accent for the look. How absolutely perfect!
The guys were also getting ready to go and they looked sharp in their suits by Men’s Wearhouse. Preston was so excited and ready to go!
The floral arrangements were created by Jan Hendrickson of Green Designs in Roanoke, Virginia. Jan did an extraordinary job and the bouquets were to die for!
The First Look:
Preston and Lauren decided to do a “first look” before the ceremony. I LOVE “first looks” because it is such an intimate moment for the almost newlyweds to share. Being able to capture the look on their faces as they first see each other with no distractions is just priceless. It also allows for some time for beautiful portraits of the couple!
The Ceremony:
After the first look and couple portraits it was time for the ceremony! It was held on the patio at Hotel Roanoke on a beautiful fall day. Lauren and Preston’s friends and family came to Roanoke to celebrate their marriage. It was such a beautiful ceremony to witness. I loved every minute of it!
The Reception:
Once the ceremony concluded and family portraits were finished we headed into the reception. Courtney Powell of Events by Simplicity did an exceptional job of keeping the entire day rolling along seamlessly. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour and then followed up with a delicious dinner provided by the Hotel Roanoke. The rest of the evening was spent mingling and dancing as Preston and Lauren enjoyed celebrating with their family and friends! John Wilson, a.k.a. “DJ J-Dub” of RSP Entertainment kept the party going with fun music everyone enjoyed! Lauren and Preston’s beautiful cake was made by The Blush Baking Company and everyone enjoyed it along with the other treats provided by the Hotel Roanoke. The entire evening was a blast!
