What an awesome family the Sowders are!!!
I recently had the pleasure of meeting Adam and Sandy at their gorgeous family farm in Craig County, Virginia. Let me tell you… this was a dream spot! So incredibly beautiful!
Adam and Sandy have three awesome children. Samantha, Teddy, and Henry all joined in for some family photos around their property. The day was beautiful and this group was wonderful to get to know as we traveled around.
Adam describes his family as “hardworking, community focused, and hospitable.” All very true but I would also add in kind. These were some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of getting to know in a long time!
As a family the Sowders enjoy music, attending festivals, food, and various community events. It was clear how close they are during their session. So heartwarming to see!
They chose to do their session at their family farm, Highlcere Hall. Their children will be the third generation on this farm. They have recently inherited the property. They are working towards sharing it with the larger community through agritourism and community events. One big thing they are excited about is sharing their herd of miniature Scottish Highland cows! I hope I get a chance to see meet them!
I asked Adam to tell me a little about his wonderful family members. He shared, “Stalwart Sandy’s always ready to get outdoors and get hiking, while being a corporate numbers person to boot!”
“Child at heart Samantha is getting ready to graduate from Radford University moving towards a career as a mathematics teacher.”
“The Rev. “The Lord” Dr. Adam is compassionate, while also being a focused and innovative strategist.”
“Thoughtful Teddy is a student at Radford University majoring in Anthropology.”
“Henry with his quiet and powerful wit is a Sophomore at Blacksburg High School.”
