Stephanie & Bryan are Expecting! | Blacksburg Maternity Photographer
One of my most favorite things is when a wedding client contacts me for their maternity and newborn sessions! Not only do I get to see them again, but I get to be a part of the next exciting thing in their lives! What better fortune than to be invited to be a part of someone’s most exciting moments. This brings me so much joy! It goes without saying then that I was super excited when Stephanie and Bryan contacted me and told me they were expecting their first baby! I was “over the moon” happy for them!
We first met for their engagement session and it is easily one of my most favorite sessions of all time. You have got to check it out. They had so many fun prop ideas and it all came out so great! That session was followed by their beautiful wedding at Beliveau Estate Winery. Another fun and gorgeous moment that I was fortunate enough to capture for them.
The Maternity Session
Fast forward now another year and we are getting meet to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their little lady, Alice Everly! They are so excited and I can’t help but admit that I am too! I love this couple so I know I am going to just adore that little girl!
We scheduled their session for Saturday, September 15th. It seemed like a safe date but Hurricane Florence had other plans for our area! Boo! Luckily, Stephanie and Bryan are flexible people and were eager to make it work. We met earlier in the day with overcast and sporadic sprinkling but were able to still get some awesome photos in! We started our session at the Hahn Horticulture Gardens at Virginia Tech. This spot is always gorgeous with the many plants and flowers to enjoy. We followed that with heading to the Moss Arts Center for some indoor (and dry) spots with amazing light. Two favorite spots for sure!
Stephanie told me how she and Bryan were so excited and anxious to know if their baby was going to be a boy or a girl. They had only decided upon one name, “Alice,” and for some reason, felt like that was all they needed. They were pretty sure the baby was going to be a girl. When they had their prediction confirmed, it seemed like destiny that it was indeed a girl.
They are so excited to meet little Alice soon and bring her home. They have two “fur babies” (their cats) that they look forward to introducing to Alice. Along with the kitties, Stephanie and Bryan’s families are very excited about Alice’s upcoming arrival. Alice will be the first grandbaby on both sides! Bryan and Stephanie already know that their little Alice is going to be spoiled!
The pregnancy has gone pretty well for Stephanie so far. She told me she has “found a new affinity for cold foods during this pregnancy and has been craving things like popsicles, ice cream, and iced coffee.” Stephanie told me she already had a sweet tooth but “being pregnant made that more pronounced as well!” Bryan is already planning Alice’s first trip to Disney World! Disney World was always Bryan’s favorite vacation as a little boy and the cannot wait to share that joy with Stephanie and their little lady, Alice.
