Aidan is a senior!!
What a year to be a senior. Aidan graduated from Blacksburg High School this May in the country’s new way – virtually. While that was disappointing, Aidan took in in stride and is looking forward with a positive attitude about all that is ahead of him!
Aidan describes himself as, “funny, nice, and loyal.” He is also smart. He forgot to mention that! He is going to Virginia Tech next year to study Business Information Technology! Wow!
While in high school, Aidan played football and was a member of the DECA team. His favorite subject to study in school was math. I am sure it doesn’t hurt that his mother is a mathematics teacher! Go math! (I know, my bias is showing for that subject ;))
While I had the great fortune of teaching his older sister and having his younger sister in my homeroom class, I never got the pleasure of having Aidan on our team at Blacksburg Middle School. I am disappointed because he was is one awesome kid and I am sure I would have loved having the opportunity to teach him! At least I got to know him a little as we walked around for his senior session!
We ended his session at Gilbert Linkous Elementary. On a normal year (no COVID-19), seniors do a senior walk through the elementary schools they had attended. It is such a great moment for all of the current elementary students to see these accomplished “big kids” come back and walk through their halls in their caps and gowns. Aidan and a his fellow GLE alumni met for a couple pics at their old stomping ground. What a great way to end the session!
