Annah + Luke | Blacksburg Engagement Photographer
I am super excited to share Annah and Luke’s engagement session with you all!
I have known Annah for a few years now. I was lucky enough to do her high school senior session a few years back! You can see those images here Annah’s Senior Session. She was awesome to work with then and she is still just as awesome!!!
Annah and Luke have been dating for many years! They first met in high school when Annah was a freshman and Luke was a sophomore. That year they were both on a school trip to see the volleyball state championship game. On the drive home they had the great fortune of sitting together. Luke shared his mp3 with Annah and the rest is history! They have been best friends ever since!
A bit over half of their relationship together has had to be long distance because Luke is currently away in New York attending West Point. Annah is still here in Blacksburg and she is attending Virginia Tech. They, of course, talk frequently, but do their best to get together whenever they can. The West Point program is pretty demanding so they have to work hard to make sure they are together whenever the opportunity presents itself! When they can they try to meet up in cool locations at the half way point between places! Some of their favorite meeting places so far have been Philadelphia, PA and Washington D.C. How cool to be having all of these adventures as they build their life together!
When they are home and back in the NRV they have some favorite things to do together. They enjoy having brunch, going to the movies, and trying to cook! I asked Annah to tell me one of her favorite things about Luke and she said, “it’s hard to pick one thing but I would say the most awesome thing about Luke is that he can make me laugh like no one else can. It doesn’t matter if we’re 500 miles away or right next to each other, he always makes my day 100 times better.” I asked Luke the same question and he said, “Annah is that always supportive of me and always know the right thing to say to make me happy.”
Luke was so romantic when he proposed to Annah! I asked her to tell me all about it and Annah said, “Luke made the proposal a complete surprise! He started the day by taking me all around town to places that are important to us as a couple. The last stop was Sinkland Farms where he (with help from his family, my sister and friends) had decorated the entire inside of the barn with lights, rose petals, and pictures of us everywhere. He also had a playlist on loop playing all of “our songs”. He led me through the barn to a couch up on the stage where he had me sit down and then he got down on one knee and popped the question! It was so beautiful and perfect!” Now that they are engaged Annah tells me that they are most excited about planning their wedding and knowing that the long distance part of their relationship is almost over!
Their amazing wedding day is coming this June! They are planning their wedding at Nesselrod on the New in Radford. I love that venue and I love these two! I cannot wait for their wedding!
Okay enough from me! How about some photos??!!!!
