Oh my goodness! What a fun couple and what a great spot for an engagement session!
How fortunate I was to be recommended to this awesome couple by their wedding planner, Kellie Minter of Allure Weddings & Events. We met for their consultation a few months ago and I have been looking forward to their engagement session ever since!
Ashley and Tate first met when they were out with friends. They were in downtown Roanoke at Corned Beef and Company have a great time! They introduced themselves to each other and spent the evening dancing, drinking, and talking. Later that night they headed over to the local late night pizzeria, Benny’s, and the rest was history!
When I asked the story of how Tate proposed and Ashley told me, “on a trip to Christmastown last December, Tate proposed to me next to a large silver tree in front of my family. Everyone was there to watch and celebrate this joyous occasion!” How sweet is that??
When they are together they love to go kayaking, boating on Smith Mountain Lake, travel to new places, eat sushi and Mexican food, and watch cooking shows on TV. Now that the are looking to be married, they each told me what they are looking forward to the most. Tate said, “tax breaks and the honeymoon!” Ha! Ashley said, “I am most excited to start building our life together!”
Tate tells me that he loves many things about Ashley. In particular he loves that Ashley is “very passionate about the things she loves (including me, most days). Her energy is so contagious and being around her brings out the best version of myself.”
While Ashley has many things she adores about Tate, she most loves how he “always encourages me to try new things and to experience new places!” A perfect match!
