Angel + Gary | Virginia Tech Wedding Photographer | Blacksburg

This wedding was F-U-N from beginning to end!

Weddings are always such a wonderful day to be a part of. I mean, really, who could ask for a better job than to be with a couple on the best day of their lives? Pure joy! Angel and Gary were the epitome of that feeling. From the absolute moment I arrived until the hugs goodbye and the end of the night… this wedding was awesome to get to witness and document!

When I first arrived at the hotel to meet the girls, Angel was already looking stunning! Her hair was done by Crystal O’Dell from the Unique Full Service Salon in Radford, Virginia. I just loved the way they made it look too! The girls’ makeup was done by the super talented Lauren Swanson () out of Roanoke, VA. Not only was Lauren talented, she was so much fun to get to know! Loved it!

Angel’s dress was from David’s Bridal out of Roanoke, Virginia. It was such a perfect dress for her! Angel loved the pockets too! (seriously though, I think every dress needs to have pockets!). Doesn’t she look stunning??!!! The bridesmaids’ dresses all came from my favorite shop in downtown Blacksburg, Sundee Best Boutique. I just loved them. They are by far my favorite of the season! If you are ever in Blacksburg you seriously need to check out this shop! It is even owned by the Maid of Honor, Angel’s sister!

The groom and groom’s party all wore attire from Old Navy and Vans. I loved the semi-casual look of them! They were ready for a great day and looked the part! They also had awesome watches to show off!

I was so excited to see the flowers were provided and arranged by Stonecrop Farms who are my absolute FAVORITE florists in the area. Did you know they will actually grow the flowers for the couple?? And those peonies!!!! The poppies!!! Just WOW!!!

The ceremony was held at the War Memorial Chapel. The coordinators at the Chapel always make sure the wedding goes off perfectly and they didn’t skip a beat for Angel and Gary! The officiant was Gary’s brother and he gave such a beautiful ceremony. It couldn’t have been more perfect for the both of them. Angel and Gary read vows they had written to each other which were funny and heartfelt. They are such a great couple. (I may have shed a tear or two… shhhhh ;)))

After the ceremony the guests headed over to Lane Stadium South End Zone. The reception was held in the West Club Lounge! It was my first time shooting a wedding up there and just WOW! I loved it! What a perfect place for two Hokie fans to celebrate their marriage?!!! DJ Bobby Hash did an awesome job of keeping the party going from the moment we arrived to the moment the couple left. DJ Bobby played songs that kept the party on the dance floor and having an absolute blast! He was awesome!!!

Angel and Gary’s wedding was catered by Mission Barbecue out of Roanoke. Let me just tell you… that is the best barbecue around!! Oh my goodness! They also had bundt cakes for their desserts provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes out of Winston Salem, North Carolina. They were a big hit! Mmmmmm!!!

The party kept hopping all night (thanks DJ Bobby) and an awesome time was had by all! I wish I could go back and do it again! It was that much fun! After the wedding Angel and Gary headed to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for their honeymoon. I know that had to have had a great time. I cannot imagine this couple ever doing otherwise! They are so FUN!!
