I have been looking forward to this wedding ever since Annah and Luke’s engagement session! I have known Annah and Luke for years now and was so excited to be a part of their wedding. Anyone who knows Annah and Luke also knows that there isn’t a more perfect pair. These two are high school sweethearts and the fact that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together was never a doubt in anyone’s mind. They are a living breathing example of a “match made in heaven.”
The wedding festivities all took place at one of our most perfect venues in the New River Valley, Nesselrod on the New. Nesselrod is located in Radford and is right on the New River which makes it just a perfectly beautiful spot for such a great celebration! When I first arrived Kasey Wright of ‘Hair and Makeup by Kasey Wright’ was working her talents on the ladies. They looked so amazing! Each and every one of the girls! Annah’s dress was a Morilee by Madeline Gardner and she found it at Chantilly Lace Bridals in Blacksburg, Virginia. It was a magnificent dress and she looked stunning!
Annah’s bouquet and the rest of the flowers were all grown and then designed by the very talented Gwynn Hamilton and Bert Webster of Stonecrop Farms. They also designed the backdrop for the ceremony which was so unique and perfect for Annah and Luke!
The groom wore his dress blues, as Luke is a recent graduate of West Point! He looked so very handsome in his uniform. Some of the groomsmen wore their uniforms as well, and those that weren’t in the service wore suits from Belk. They all looked so handsome!
Nesselrod has a pavilion area where the ceremony took place. The scenery is as if you are sitting in a little forest and as we watched Annah approach the guests all became silent as they watched this beautiful young woman make her way down. Luke’s face showed his overwhelming love for Annah the moment he caught sight of her and it touched everyone’s hearts. The ceremony was beautiful to witness and all of the family and friends in attendance enjoyed sharing in their love. As they exited the ceremony Luke’s fellow West Point graduates proved an arch of sabors ceremony!
The reception followed at the main pavillion. Dinner was catered by Custom Catering and was a barbecue feast! The cake was made by Annah’s family friend, Steve Watkins. Annah and Luke cut the cake with Luke’s sabor! It was so cool! After the cake cutting the party got going and everyone danced the night away. The reception ended with a sparkler send off and the couple drove away to enjoy the rest of their evening as the newly married Wilsons! They will be heading to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico for their honeymoon! I know that, and the rest of their lives will be as wonderful as the two of them are!
