Oh that sweet little lady!!!
I recently met Justin and Joanna at their new home in Blacksburg to photograph their precious little Amelia. What a sweet family they have. Justin and Joanna recently moved here from Lynchburg for work. We are lucky to have them in Blacksburg because they are one awesome couple.
Amelia Rose Watts joined their clan on May 20th at 12:13am. She weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 22.5 inches long! Amelia was 22.5 inches of perfection, if you ask me! This little lady is precious! I just love her name too! I also loved the way Joanna brings in little roses here and there in her nursery and accessories. So fitting with that adorable name!
Joanna began the journey of welcoming Amelia on Saturday morning, May 19th. She had a very long day of laboring and Amelia still hadn’t made her arrival. This resulted in an unexpected C-section. Despite that change in plan, everything went well and Amelia joined her family early Sunday morning.
Joanna told me that when Amelia was finally born they “instantly fell in love. My first thoughts were how beautiful and perfect she was. I was so grateful that she arrived safely and was healthy.” Oh those new momma feels!!! Love it!
Life has changed for them as they adjust to being parents of a little human (they already had two fur babies!). According to Joanna, “Overall things have been great. We are learning a lot and finding our new normal. We couldn’t be happier.” Joanna went on to tell me more about Amelia and the little person she is developing into. “Even though Amelia is only 2 weeks old, she already has a lot of personality. She is very expressive and loves to make faces at us. She will already smile and laugh. Sometimes she looks like she is deep in thought. She is usually a happy baby.” I haven’t seen a happier baby, that is for sure. I am not even sure if I ever saw Amelia fuss a single time!
This little lady made for one session full of adorableness. I may have to arrange another visit so I can see her again! Okay! Enough from me! How about more photos?? I know you want to see them!!
