What a perfect day to get married! Tawny and Joey could not have asked for a better day to share their love with their closest family and friends.
I first met up with Tawny and Joey at the Residence Inn in Blacksburg where they were getting ready for the big day. Tawny had her hair and makeup done that morning at Leslie Mitchell Salon and Company. Leslie Mitchell did their hair and the talented Jessica Hall did their makeup! She looked absolutely stunning! Tawny’s magnificent dress was designed by Carolina Herrera which she was fortunate enough to get via a friend that is the VP of their marketing! What a score because that dress was AMAZING!! Tawny’s shoes were a gift and hand painted by Shaun Carroll of Hot Rod Tattoo and they were the perfect touch! So cool!
The flowers were designed by Gwynn Hamilton and Bert Webster of the always fabulous Stonecrop Farms. I have to admit, whenever I arrive at a wedding and see their flowers I get super excited because they do such amazing work! Just look at this bouquet!!!
Tawny and Joey wanted to do a first look at Hahn Horticulture Gardens of VT which is always a great location! I love how lush the entire gardens are at this time of year! It was so sweet to see Joey’s face when he first saw his beautiful bride. They are such a perfect pair. So very much in love. After the first look we took some portraits in the gardens before heading over to the ceremony and reception site.
Beliveau Estate Winery is one of my most favorite locations for weddings! There are 180 degrees of gorgeous at this spot! Tawny and Joey’s ceremony overlooked the green mountains and was just perfect. I honestly do not believe I have witnessed a more adorable ceremony. It was perfect for them and their guests and included tears, laughs, and so much love! Tawny’s sister, Jenna, officiated their wedding to make it even more perfect! I loved seeing their little girl, Charlie, walk down the aisle with Joey. They are such a sweet family! The processional music was performed but Tawny and Joey’s very talented friend, Casey Phillips.
After the ceremony the reception kicked off with the help of my new favorite DJ, J.C. Castillo of Castillo DJ Services. He did such an awesome job of keeping the party going and getting the guests dancing! Dinner was provided by the in-house caterers of Beliveau Estate Winery and the wedding cake was made by Tawny and Joey’s super talented friend, Amanda Wiscarson. They also had DELICIOUS cheesecakes! This was one awesome celebration of love from beginning to end!
Tawny and Joey’s wedding favors were one of my most favorite of all of my weddings. They gave each of their guests a lottery ticket and a penny (for scratching them, of course!). Why that alone is a cool idea, the actual story behind it is why I love it so much! Tawny told the guests during her toast about her grandpa, Charlie Booth. Charlie, upon meeting Tawny’s new boyfriends, would say to them, “son, you better buy a lottery ticket because you are the luckiest guy to be dating my granddaughter.” Now isn’t that the sweetest thing you have ever heard? I LOVED it!
