Claire is a senior!!
What an awesome young lady Claire has grown into! Even though I didn’t have the pleasure of teaching Claire when she was a 7th grader, I can remember her like it was yesterday! She has grown up so much!
Claire is a senior at Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, Virginia. She describes herself as, “honest, determined, and loyal.” Wonderful descriptors!!!
At Blacksburg High School, Claire is involved in many activities. She is a class officer and an SCA representative! She is an avid volleyball player and plays for the BHS Bruins as well as club volleyball. She’s been playing for around 7 years now! She told me, “It’s a year round commitment and I have loved going to National level tournaments with River Valley Juniors over the past couple of years.” Claire’s favorite subject in school is biology, which she is looking at for her future career!
In addition to school activities, Claire also rides horses. She has a gelding named Thistle! How cool is that?!!!
When Claire isn’t riding horses or doing school-related activities, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, weightlifting, reading, playing her dogs, playing beach volleyball, and listening to music. She loves Vulfpeck, Still Woozy, and Mild High Club. Her favorite shows are Bojack Horseman, Shameless, Euphoria, Game of Thrones, and Avatar. Her favorite movies are Interstellar, Forrest Gump, and The Hunger Games.
Now that she is looking to her next chapter, she is heading to the University of Texas at Austin. She will be a biology major in the Jefferson Scholars Program and Freshman Research Initiative! Wow! This girl is going places!!
