What a fun time I had with Ben, Anna, and little Mason!
I was so excited when Anna got in touch about a session with her family. A few years ago I had the honor of photographing Anna and Ben’s beautiful wedding! It was so wonderful to get to photograph her growing family!
Anna describes her family as “playful, tight-knit, and loving.” Isn’t that a great set of words for a family? I wish all families had those traits!
We met at their family home in Salem for their session. It was a beautiful Saturday morning and I enjoyed getting to know Mason. He shared his favorite pastime with me, trains! This kid loves his trains!
The Critz family likes to go on walks together, read books, play with their dogs, Hank and Stella, go grocery shopping, explore local parks, complete home projects, visit family, and “all things trains!” I bet this bunch is never bored! Their most favorite thing however, is to be outdoors. They are looking forward to better weather so they can enjoy that again!
Anna told me that the reason she wanted to do her session at their home was because they are, “shamelessly homebodies and spend most of our time here. It’s our first home and our safe haven. I know we won’t be in this home forever so I also wanted a way to capture some of our memories here as a young family.”
Anna described her sweet Mason to me as “a train enthusiast, tummy tickler, goofball jr., friendly, and full of sweetness!” Isn’t that adorable?
Ben, according to Anna, “is our protector and the original goofball.” She described herself as the “family coordinator, playful, animal and Hokie football lover, and Mason’s biggest fan!” Aren’t they the sweetest??
I had a wonderful time getting to see the Anna and Ben again. Meeting Mason and getting to play with trains was the icing on the cake! Now let me share more photographs with you!
