I had an absolutely wonderful time photographing the Edwards family! Virginia, Mike, and little Gibson were so much fun to work with!
We met up in Giles county for their session in a gorgeous spot overlooking the amazing mountains that we are so fortunate to be surrounded by. It was such a fantastic spot and I was so fortunate that Virginia took me to see it! Loved it and loved them!
“Loving, fun, and snuggly” are the words Virginia uses to describe her family. Little Gibson has definitely gotten the snuggly trait from his parents! He was absolutely adorable!!! All giggles and smiles!!
Virginia told me that she, Mike, and Gibson enjoy hiking, gardening, swimming, and reading together. They also enjoy playing outside together when it’s warm and, of course, snuggle!
She also told me that they chose this awesome location because, “I grew up in Giles County, my Mom has taught there for 30 years and we all have a love for mountains and outdoors!”
Virginia also shared with me that Gibson loves to loudly chuckle and make others laugh by doing so. He is a passionate snuggler and always up for an outside adventure, or a bath! Mike (aka “daddy”) is the quiet, strong type that always seems to rise to any obstacle or struggle they face as a family. I can also tell you that Virginia is one of the sweetest mommys I have ever seen. She was so patient with little Gibson and always smiling. I have had the pleasure of knowing her for a few years now and have only seen Virginia be kind, loving, and so very friendly. She is a very special person and I am happy to know her!
Since Gibson was just about to turn one year old, Virginia brought along a cake for Gibson to smash! It turned out that Gibson wasn’t super fond of the texture of the cake, so while we did enjoy a few photos with the cake, he much preferred the bath she had set up for afterwards. I loved that idea too and the photos were too adorable not to share!!
Lee, Virginia’s mother came along to help with Gibson and the various props they brought along. I joked with Lee after seeing her work her magic with Gibson that I wanted to hire her for every family session! What an awesome grandma she is! Virginia also told me about Lee, “Mom is the most giving person I have ever met, she will give and sacrifice just about anything to make others happy. We are beyond blessed to have her help us get some free time of our own with Gibson, and Gibson’s love for his Grandma is apparent every time they get together!!” How wonderful for them all! I just love this family!
