Georgia-Kathryn is a senior!!
I seriously CANNOT believe how quickly time has flown by!
When I moved to Blacksburg, Virginia from Gainesville, Florida in 2007, Georgia-Kathryn’s family were my first clients! Can you believe that?? She was about 4 years old!! Look at this young woman now!!!
I adore GK. I had the honor of having her as a student when she was a 7th grader at Blacksburg Middle School and have been able to see her grow up all these years. She is something special!
Georgia-Kathryn describes herself as, “creative, determined, and friendly.” She is also accomplished, kind, and very, very loved. She’s one awesome human!
GK is a senior at Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, Virginia. She is a Virginia DECA State Officer as well as a volunteer with the Blacksburg Junior Assembly, Home for the Holidays, and Virginia DECA Cares. She has also been a campaigner for Blacksburg YoungLife.
At BHS, Georgia-Kathryn’s favorite subjects to study are business and marketing. She is quite an entrepreneur too! She runs her own Etsy shop called Beads by Georgia where she makes and sells spoon rings! You can check out her store here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/BeadsByGeorgia?ref=shop_sugg
When not at school or working on her products for her store, GK loves to listen to music, hike on the Appalachian Trail, and go to the farmer’s market with her friends. She told me she is an “avid kombucha fan and loves a good Hello Bagel!”
Alternative rock is Georgia-Kathryn’s favorite kind of music, especially Tame Impala. As for her other faves in life, GK shared, “I love Yerba Mate, it’s a type of tea. I am a summer Camp Counselor at Camp Seafarer and love to travel to visit my Camp Seafarer friends.”
Now that she is looking beyond high school, Georgia-Kathryn is planning to attend Wake Forest University on a pre-business track. This girl is going places!
