What an awesome family this is!!
Claire reached out to me to have a family session that included her family and her husband Corey’s family! I was so glad to accommodate! I adore Claire’s family and have known them for years! I was actually her sister Charlotte’s 6th and 7th grade math teacher! Now that I got to meet Corey and his family, I can see that the family grew in size and in awesomeness! What a great bunch of people!
Claire and Corey have the sweetest little girl, Carter. It was so much fun getting her to warm up! By the end of the session she was the life of the party!!!
Claire describes her family as, “creative, loud, and always up for an adventure!” I would add in kind, fun, and the sort of people you are happy to know! I certainly am happy to know them!
Corey describes his family as, “a family of Hokies, easy going, and loud.” Ha! They are also all VT Corps of Cadets! Michele ’89, Corey ’15, Sadie ’18, and Michael (Sadie’s fiance) ’19. Wow! What a tradition! This was the sweetest bunch too! I loved meeting them!
When the whole family gets together it is something special. They are all in different places now (Northern VA, Staunton, Winchester, etc) so when they have time to get together it is wonderful. Claire shared, “Obviously, Carter is the center of attention a lot now (first grandchild status), so it has been really fun to watch mine and Corey’s parents become grandparents and for our siblings to become aunts and soon-to-be uncles. I hope these pictures will be a really fond memory of this time in our lives.” I hope so too!!!
Claire’s family, the Cannons, love to travel and find new breweries and restaurants to try. They just like an adventure together!
Corey’s family, the Morrells, enjoy going to VT football games. They also love to take a trip to Daytona Beach every summer together!
We did their session at Virginia Tech’s duck pond early one Saturday morning. We beat the impending storm by doing a sunrise session! It worked out beautifully! And!!! I found out this is where Corey proposed to Claire back in 2014!!! Perfect!
Charlotte is Claire’s sister and one of my favorite students OF ALL TIME. She just started a new job as a Product Designer at WillowTree, a mobile app and web development company. I am so happy for her!!!
Sadie is Corey’s sister. She and Michael are getting married in August! How exciting!!!
Carter is the center of everything! Claire tells me she is a “spunky, energetic two-year old, who has a big heart, no concept of an inside voice, and loves to make people laugh.” That might be one of my favorite descriptions a client has ever shared! I love it!
