I am so excited to share the Powell family with you all!

I first met Ashley and Travis when I had the honor of doing their engagement session many years ago! Fast forward a few years and Ashley and Travis now have a little boy, Spencer!

Ashley and Travis have a super busy life and they are always on the “go.” They love to take long walks, travel to new places. and try out different foods and beers.

Travis and Ashley love to introduce Spencer to their “awesome ‘village’ of friends” and their favorite places! Blacksburg is at the top of their favorite places list!

We met up for their session at the beautiful Smithfield Plantation on the Virginia Tech campus. It was a gorgeous day and perfect for a family session. Ashley and Travis particularly love this spot because it brings back memories of walking their sweet dog during undergrad. They would take him there to walk the trail and play with his friends. That is a special memory for them.

I asked Ashley to share with me a little about her family. She shared that the last few years have been trying. She shared, “We tried for 4 years to conceive before we were able to get pregnant with Spencer through our second round of IVF. He has been such a light for us these last seven months. He is such a cool kid- he is constantly smiling and a reminder of how blessed we are to be his parents. Travis is such an amazing dad, too. We are high school sweethearts, but watching him evolve and grow into the role of being a father has been so neat. I am seriously the luckiest person to have those two in my life.”
