Rikki + Rodney | Sundara Wedding Photographer
Oh my goodness! I am so excited to share this wedding with you all today! Rikki and Rodney are such a sweet pair and this wedding celebrated their love in the most perfect way!
Rikki met Rodney while they were both in the Marine Corps some time ago. They fell in love and decided to get married! Because they didn’t get to have a celebration at the time they were married, they came together with their family and friends on June 17th to throw an awesome party and renew their vows!
The wedding and reception took place at one of my personal favorite venues in the New River Valley, Sundara. What a gorgeous location and I loved being their Sundara wedding photographer for the day! Rikki planned this wedding down to the most amazing of specifics with the help of Cari Dones, Sundara’s venue manager (and she rocks!). Details, details, details… I could go on for days about the details! Rikki had custom made signage all around the venue:

The table arrangements were absolutely stunning. The flowers were magnificent! They were all arranged by Mary Jo Thompson of Flowers by Gloriosa. The bouquets were also amazing! The colors! The foliage! Wow!!
The wedding cake was a subtle pink with hand painted flowers around the middle layer. It was topped off by two porcelain birds. How adorable! Not only was this cake beautiful, it was equally delicious! Credit has to be given to the amazing baker, Sarah Blanchard, of Fresh Baked Bakery out of Roanoke. This is not the first time I have witnessed their talents! They rock!
Rikki even had cufflinks made for her son and husband special for the day! They were ordered off of Etsy and are just adorable!
Rikki made for one gorgeous bride too! Her makeup and hair were done by her close friend, Alejandra Castro. She was such a talented makeup artist! To further add to the details I keep talking about, Rikki actually wore TWO dresses for her wedding day! One dress was for the ceremony and the second for the reception! They were both amazing and she found them at Chantilly Lace Bridals. She looked stunning!
Rodney and their son wore suits from Jos. A. Bank accented with those adorable cufflinks Rikki had made for them. Just perfect!
Blue Ridge Catering provided the food. I have a confession… when I hear I am shooting a wedding catered by them I do get excited! Ha! Their food is AMAZING and Rikki and Rodney’s didn’t disappoint! Yummmmm!!!
The night was so much fun for everyone. There was lots of dancing kicked off by the DJ of the night from RSP Entertainment, LLC. There was lots of dancing and socializing! When the night was all done they excited with a sparkler send off and then spent the night in Sundara’s “Glamping Tent” overlooking the mountains. Wow!
This wedding was absolutely awesome from beginning to end! I am so happy we were able to be a part of Rikki and Rodney’s celebration. They are such wonderful people to know! Okay! Enough from me! More photos!
