I really enjoyed meeting Sydney! We met at Hahn Horticulture Gardens on the Virginia Tech Campus for her session. It was an absolutely beautiful day to take some beautiful photos of a beautiful young woman!!
Syndey describes herself as nonjudgmental, energetic, and caring. I think those are three wonderful adjectives! What great traits to have!
Sydney is involved in many different activities at her school. She is an active member of the Student Government Association for the past three years, Help Save the Next girl for the past 4 years, Demons for Sheltered Animals for the past 4 years, National Honors Society for the past two years, Health Occupation Student Association for the past year, an active participant in the mentor program for 4 years, Vice President of the Badminton club for 2 years, Future Business Leaders of America for 4 years, and placed second in the State for public speaking at the FBLA state Conference. She has also been an active participant in the music department for all 4 years of high school. She has played three years of varsity softball and played volleyball since she was in the 7th grade. wow.. that was a list! She is so accomplished already!
Biology and English are Sydney’s favorite subjects in school. When she’s not at school, her favorite things to do are to watch the Office, Scandal, and Netflix. she also loves listening to the Zac Brown Band, Guns And Roses, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, The Doors, and The Bahamas. Cool! Her favorite TV shows are The Office, Scandal, Riverdale, Law and Order, Grey’s Anatomy, and Stranger Things. Sydney’s favorite movies include The Titanic, Moana, Zootopia, The Longest Yard, The Bucket List, Finding Dory, and White Chicks.
Sydney has applied to ETSU, Radford, Virginia Tech, and Alabama. She hopes to attend one of those schools to study microbiology. No matter which school she ends up at, one thing is clear, Sydney is going places. Sydney is a very special young woman with so much ahead of her! I cannot wait to learn of her accomplishments!
