What a fun, but freezing, morning!!!

Brandon and April met me at the Duck Pond at Virginia Tech on a chilly morning for their session. Our original date for their session had been rained out and this was the best time to reschedule for their family. I have to tell you, however, I have never seen a family more awesome! My mother would call it being a “trooper” and these kids were amazing! No complaints at all! These are four awesome kiddos!

The Thompsons chose the VT campus for their session because, “Virginia Tech is what brought us to Blacksburg and one of the things we will miss most when we leave. We wanted to remember VT by taking pictures at Duck Pond,” according to Brandon.

Taylor, Addyson, Kynley, and Riley are some of my favorite little people. As I write “little people” I have to correct myself because big sis, Taylor, is definitely not a little kid anymore. How about “these three little kids and one grown up teenager are some of my favorite humans”!!! Better? Ha!

The Thompson clan is a fun, active military family. They are actually getting ready to head to their next assignment at West Point Academy in New York. While I am certainly going to miss them, I know they are excited to begin the next chapter of their family’s journey.

Bowling, movies, swimming, and visiting with family and friends are the favorite pastimes of the Thompson clan. As a family they love to take trips to Florida to see family and friends. They also enjoy being outside playing as well as cheering on their favorite sports teams: “Go Hokies, Go Army!”

The Family:

Brandon and April are awesome parents. When he’s not working, Brandon enjoys spending time with the kids and attending as many sports events as he can. Their daughter, Taylor, keeps them busy with volleyball for sure! April is a super busy and caring mother. She manages a family of six and makes it look so easy!

Taylor is the quintessential big sister. She is so kind, loving, and patient with her siblings. She is also smart, beautiful, and extremely talented at volleyball and choir.

The sweet twins, Addyson and Kynley are absolutely adorable. Addison is creative, witty, and loving. Kynley is funny, determined, and spirited.

The baby of the bunch, Riley, has personality that makes him shine and definitely get noticed! Riley is cute, hilarious, and, according to dad, “too smart for his own good.” This little guy… I mean… how could you not fall in love with this?
