Danielle + Lindsay | Mountain Lake Wedding Photographer
I have been so excited about this wedding since the day I first met Danielle and Lindsay! What an awesome couple these two are!
Danielle and Lindsay’s engagement session (See the Photos Here) was so much fun! They are so kind and funny that it made the session go by way too fast! We laughed and I got to know two people that I hope will remain friends for years!
The wedding day started off being a bit overcast and rainy. It was decided to pull the ceremony indoors to ensure that all of the guests and the ceremony would not get wet. Fortunately the skies opened up after the ceremony and we were able to head out for some gorgeous photos!
When we first arrived Lindsay was at the Lake Cottage Cabin with her family and her bridal party. Her hair and makeup was done and she was ready to get into her gorgeous dress! Lindsay found her dress at The Winner and it was perfect. The beadwork was extraordinary! Doesn’t she look stunning??
Danielle was in the Chesterfield Cottage Cabin with her bridal party. She was getting her hair and makeup done (both ladies had their hair and makeup done by the ladies from CharMarie Salon who are FANTASTIC). Danielle’s dress was from David’s Bridal and was stunning. The front was a classic high neckline while the back of the dress plunged down with lace accents. Danielle and Lindsay didn’t plan their dresses together so the fact that they were the perfect compliments to one another were icing on the cake! Ha! Danielle looked magnificent in her dress too. Don’t you agree??!!!
The ceremony was held at Mary’s Barn at Mountain Lake Lodge. The barn was beautifully decorated with flowers from Caroline LaRocca Event Design. I loved how after the wedding party came down the altar Danielle and Lindsay met each other with their fathers and walked down the aisle together, all four of them. It was a beautiful entrance to what was a beautiful ceremony. When they were pronounced as married the cheers erupted. I have attended many weddings and I have never experienced such emotional and joyful cheers. Danielle and Lindsay’s family and friends were overcome with happiness for this wonderful pair.
The wedding party ventured out to Mountain Lake’s Overlook for their portraits. It was finally beautiful and sunny! There was a mix of sunshine and then a thick cloud rolled in to create a mystical mood for the end of Danielle & Lindsay’s wedding portraits. I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful moment!
The reception followed at Mary’s Barn. It was kept moving fluidly by the super talented Raechel Kiefer of Mountain Lake Lodge. She rocks! Mountain Lake also catered the wedding and it was delicious! The wedding cake was made by Nancy Creed of The Orange Bandana and it was as delicious as it was beautiful! No New River Valley wedding would be complete without Carol Lee Donuts and Danielle and Lindsay didn’t disappoint! Lots of yummy treats for everyone!
DJ King Court kept the party going all night! The guests had a great time and there wasn’t a point that the dance floor wasn’t filled! So much fun! Danielle and Lindsay ended the night with a sparkler send off!
I bet you’re ready for less words and more photographs, aren’t you??!!!
A quick shout out to my awesome second photographer, Sam Pack of Sam Pack Photography
