Ethan | Blacksburg High School Senior Portrait Photographer

Ethan!

You all know by now how much I love to see my former students as high school seniors! Ethan was in my 7th grade advanced math class SIX years ago!!! How does time fly by so fast! He was an awesome kid then and has grown into an even more awesome young man now. So proud of him!

Ethan describes himself as “athletic, smart and a hard worker.” What awesome traits!

Ethan attends Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, Virginia. His favorite subjects are math and science (awesome!). He is an exceptional student with a great drive to be successful. Ethan has a few schools looking at him for track but is still undecided. He is leaning towards a private school and hopefully compete as an athlete in either track or baseball. He considering majoring in Computer Science.

Extracurriculars

Ethan is involved in many different extracurricular activities. He has been playing baseball since he was younger than three years old! Ethan has continued to play throughout the years with travel and legion baseball. He told me that he used to be an all sport athlete. Ethan has also been running indoor track since 9th grade! He quickly developed a passion for track and it has rivaled his love of baseball. Ethan was awarded the “starting pitcher award for JV baseball” his freshman and sophomore years. In track he has been very successful as a hurdler. In his junior year regionals he placed 2nd in indoor track 55 meter hurdles and 3rd place for 110 meter hurdles for outdoor track. Wow! Ethan went on to tell me, “I competed in states for both indoor and outdoor track. I was a dual sport athlete my junior year with baseball as primary and outdoor track as secondary all while keeping up my grades. I have had all A’s and only one B taking advanced classes throughout my high school. My hurdle team qualified for nationals this past summer and just 3 days prior to competing, I broke my toe. Through the help of VT and our trainer Dan, I ran at Nationals and our team placed 15th and broke the school record. I didn’t want to let my team down as we had two seniors on the team and this was the chance of a lifetime.” Wow. What a kid!

When not working on his studies or playing sports, Ethan likes to hang out with his girlfriend, Eliza, as well as play Xbox with his friends.

Other than sports in school, my favorite things to do would be hanging out with my girlfriend Eliza as well as playing xbox with my friends.

Ethan told me, “I have spent quite a bit of my time doing sports related activities both in school as well as travel ball and legion ball through the years. I am looking forward to, and excited about, what opportunities could be ahead for me both in college and sports. I would like to get into gaming or even write programs or develop software for games.” This kid is going places!
